Got to the Finish Line

I am finally done with my spring cleaning! What an empowering feeling this has been! So my last 3 categories were clothes, jewelry and pictures. Clothes surprisingly did not take me that long. I promised myself I will do this once every 6 months. I still am getting rid of stuff that I even kept. Let's say I'm going out for a night out and I try on some shoes and they just don't fit right anymore, or look outdated...out they go. It feels so good to only have things I love and getting ready is so simple. As far as jewelry, it took me an entire day but well worth it. I found some beautiful pieces I had completely forgotten about. The pictures also took an entire day. I sorted them by year and just filed them and put the folders away in a cute box I had. I got rid of duplicates and many other pics like scenery or something that I really didn't care for. I plan on going in and maybe making albums or clearing out more pics but I'm a little pooped for now. The jewelry felt more emotional than the pictures, I have gone through the pics in the past for fun, but the jewelry made me realize how much I was holding on to the past. I feel so free and really love being in my room now. My friends are coming over more often because they love the space too! I can't wait to see what's next! .....
