Change of Heart
This may come to a shock to some of you. Yes, I completely believe in the raw vegan lifestyle but honestly it's so challenging. I have been eating dairy. Can you believe it? I read some of the P90X book and started wondering what would happen if I started eating some eggs and dairy as protein. My stomach doesn't feel too great but I have been maintaining a good weight for now. I lost about 10 lbs since I stopped doing 801010..which I will be the first to say I was probably not doing it right? maybe I should have been more active than just going to the gym an hour a day. Anyhow, I have been doing hot yoga and eating much less fruit and I dropped weight instantly.
I have been eating egg whites for breakfast every day with an herb called soumak. It has this lemon/salty flavor which I love. I use the Trader Joe's coconut spray which is pretty much like if Pam and coconut oil had a baby. Please note that it does contain soy, which I am not a fan of. I also have been snacking on the brown rice bread with sunflower seed butter and raw honey with cinnamon I realize that this isn't an ideal snack for weight loss but hey it kills my sweet tooth craving and keeps me really full until dinner. Tonight I had halibut with a side salad. If you haven't tried the Halibut from Whole Foods yet, you are definitely missing out. I am also snacking on Faye nonfat yogurt and non fat cottage Cheese from Trader Joe's.
I admit, I want to lose weight for summer and maybe eating fish and dairy is a step backwards but if losing some weight is going to make me happier then as of now this is the diet and lifestyle I choose. I also bought a few protein shakes like Hemp and Vega from Whole Foods that I will be testing out. Keeping busy trying to get you some answers to this healthy weight loss journey.
As far as working out I got a little bored and burnt out of the gym and have been exploring the yoga Pilates world. I do want to go back to lifting weights because that gave me the most incredible definition.
