Happy New YEAr!

It's the last day of the year! Eat, drink do whatever your heart desires, because tomorrow we will start a new year and no more excuses! This year has been a changing experience with many blessings! Family and friends are the most important thing in this world. Without your health you have nothing! Take care of yourself and eachother. Live love laugh! Goodnight and be safe =)

Run!

Mud Run that is...so I signed up for this mud run in Arpil but I am scared S''tless because I never really run. Maybe it's time to change that? Think the last time I ran a mile was in High School P.E. class. So I guess one of my New Years resolutions is running. It's a beautiful day outside so maybe today is a great time to start. I am scared of getting any type of knee injury so I heard it's better to run on dirt so I'm thinking of trying it out on a hiking trail. Wish me luck! Run don't walk hehe ;)

Birthday Cake

and Christmas cake and lunch dessert and cheese and wine party and Birthday champagne and...ok needless to say I have been cheating. I also thought it would be a good idea to skip the gym pre bday party because I felt like my cold wasn't going away. I have to admit I had some chicken soup even though I am not a fan of eating chicken in any form but I think it actually helped me. I also heard if you cut an onion and put it in your room it will suck the bacteria out of you! Pretty cool! So eating cheese and all that other crap and skipping the gym? not a good idea. Well, it was kinda cool for a minute there but then I had to go back to the gym. Yikes I felt like it was my first time all over again. I definitely learned my lesson never to take a "break" again. Few days of is ok but an entire week was too much. It also messes with your head. Working out just makes me feel better and think more clearly. Regarding food, ugh its been tough giving up dairy with a fridge full of l...

Juicertime!

I know I know I'm a dork! Ok so this morning I started juicing again and loving it! So from what I recall the last time I did the juice fast, I had 32 oz for breakfast, 32 oz for lunch, 32 oz for dinner. I try to do most of the fruits in the morning and focus more on veggies the rest of the day. So here is what I had this morning...for some reason this pic refuses to download the correct way.. Celery- the only reason I use celery is to push down the kale since kale is usually so dry and this way it blends with the celery which is mostly water Ginger-how cools i my ginger gun? bang bang? shooting my cold away! I refuse to get sick

Fool Foul? Not sure how you spell this in English but these are basically fava beans with garlic and some cummin  typically for breakfast but I had it for lunch today . I added some pomegranates leftover from breakfast to add more flavor (instead of the olive oil which is traditionally added) I recently did the Brazilian blowout and yes I love my hair but I don't like the fact that  my scalp is dry itchy and flakey =( so I mixed these 3 ingredients and massaged them onto my scalp I would say my scalp is about 65% better ..shampoo after wards unless you want to smell like a salad hehe I love tea....been trying to skip on the honey lately (only form of sugar I eat) you kinda get used it eventually  peeling and eating grapefruits take so long that by the time you are done you are satisfied   I don't think i can ever get sick of bananas  the grapefruit was getting a little messy cause it was too juicy so I decided to juice i...

Skinny Aliens

Yes I am referring to the girls from last nights Victoria Secret show. How can you be tall, skinny and gorgeous with big boobs and a great ass without being from another planet?? I think that planet is somewhere in the Soviet Union. Anyways so I didn't eat much yesterday for a few reasons.  1-because I watched a bunch of videos on youtube  about being vegan and some disturbing ones about animals getting slaughtered not a good idea before lunch 2-I think my stomach knew I was planning on watching the VS show ;) 3-Stress sometimes makes me lose my appetite 4-my stomach was saying " we are still working on burning the pizza you ate!" 5-I ate a persimmon for breakfast I will explain further ... Stop what? Eating cereal! yes you! ok so I know what you are thinking, my cereal is good for me I eat Cheerios, I eat kashi, my cereal is from whole foods...It's still cereal and I guarantee you (99%) that it is full of SUGAR!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cereal is not healthy! I live with two people that eat "healthy" honey bunches of oats and sepcial K every freaking morning with nonfat milk or lactaid and tell me they are eating "healthy" and it drives me crazy! Ahh glad I got that out! ok so don't get me wrong a bowl of cereal is like crack, I get it, you wanna get the box and start reading it while you eat and watch your cartoons right? remind you of something? yes childhood! well guess what our moms didn't know how bad cereal was for us! So I weighed myself this morning and I have gained like 3 lbs! So lets focus on our face today lol!! I mean how can you eat healthy every day and then have a few bad days and gain weight?? But when you eat healthy and workout the scale doesn't move!? Pizza oh pizza

So after a day of healthy eating I skipped the gym and went to my friends house and ordered Domino's with mushrooms, olives and pepperoni. I had two slices that tasted sooo amazing! Pizza is probably one of my favorite things to eat! Cheese and bread? how can you go wrong?? Anyways so much for my healthy monday lol....lets try to make better choices tomorrow! Hit the gym for sure! Gobble Gobble!

I made it through Thanksgiving and here is what I ate.. grilled vegetables the most delicious yams-which I later found out had marshmallow on them which explains how amazing they were! fruit Ya aren't you proud of me? Not so fast..the next day I went out with friends and ended up having some yummy desert when I got home around 1 am. (straight to the hips baby) I did spend a night out with a bunch of smokers and didn't have a single cigarette! I guess a little dessert was ok. So it has been about a month that I have not had a single cigarette and I even went to Vegas! yes I had one drink ONE! in Vegas. Ok fine maybe I was there less than 24 hours but still! So cut to this weekend...the beginning of the holiday parties! =( I ended up smoking. Yes! I did it, I drank and smoked and ate rice and potatoes and the best things in life like red velvet cakes! Make your Turkey Perky!

What a week! Loving the holidays so far! More time to get together with friends and family! This week it is soooo important to stay on track with your diet! Yes, of course it's ok to indulge, but at the same time we can't just throw away all the hard work from the rest of the year. Every Thanksgiving house makes a salad right? ok so LOAD UP ON SALAD!!! DRINK LOTS OF WATER! Have some fresh juice before you head out to your family dinner to keep your tummy a little full before you eat. I still haven't decided if I will have a piece of Turkey or not. I don't really want to but we will see. Don't skip the gym!!!!! I missed yoga today because I feel like I am getting a cold and my body needed some rest but I am thinking of doing a yoga DVD at home. So many germs out there!!! Wash your hands and drink lots of fluids! About to juice some grapefruits! Remember Santa will be asking you soon if you are naughty or nice! If you are going to indulge just at least skip the desser...

Water! we all need it, but which one is the best kind to drink? I grew up on Arrowhead but have now switched to Figi. I also like Acqua Panna but it's a little difficult carrying a glass container to the gym, which is where I do most of my water drinking. What's your favorite water? Please don't say tap! The only thing I use tap water for is washing my hands and showering. All cooking and drinking is with purified/ bottled/filtered water not sure the exact description. When I used to go to restaurants I used to just ask for an Iced T or something other than bottled water because I felt like bottled water was kind of seen as "expensive" snob water. Kinda like why would you pay for it when they bring you free water with a lemon (which is prob full of germs btw). Now that I am totally against tap water and making better choices, I order bottled or sparkling water. Yes its a couple more bucks but hey why is it ok to spend a few dollars on PEPSI or Coke or other...

Quitting smoking and other bad stuff

Yes I know what you are thinking "I'm not a quitter" Very funny! I used to say it all the time too. So here is the deal people here is what I have decided to quit this year while I am Jesus's age 33 -Smoking -Drinking -Eating unhealthy food -some other stuff too but these are the external ones -oh and spending money which I don't think I have an addiction to but I do like to go out with friends alot to eat and I do like to shop but I really can't afford that right now and even if I could I don't really NEED anything Ok so smoking...lets see how I am doing so far. I was doing well for a while, but seems like every time something went wrong I would go buy a pack. After a long night of chain smoking with my friends I think I am finally DONE. I even drank alot one night and didn't smoke. Well there weren't any cigarettes around but still I didn't want one. Ok so I think I may have this not smoking thing down. YEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A word or two about dairy

So I bought this big container of Greek yogurt from Costco and I have been making breakfast with it, snacks, desserts etc. and I am officially done with Greek yogurt for a long time! I bought this because I felt like I was addicted to cheese and lebni (Lebanese style yogurt). Turns out I am addicted but what am I addicted to? The sugar! The Faye Greek yogurt tastes like heaven when you add honey which is SUGAR! yes its much "healthier" and more natural than processed sugar but its still sugar. So whats my point? The point is I need to stop eating dairy all together! JUST STOP! Ok so this morning I ate egg whites with one egg for breakfast. What do I do with the brand new box of egg whites I just bought??? So the goal here is to go completely Vegan but doing it step by step. So here's a really great STEP. BROWN RICE

I LOVE BROWN RICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OK so if you need some carbs and protein not to mention alot of fiber!!!!!!!!! go buy some brown rice! the precooked ones are awesome bc you can take them too work or anywhere and just pop it in the microwave (I know its horrible but sometimes it's freakin convenient)...I may have blogged about this before but even if I am repeating it ...get yourself some brown rice its great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ok bye
