Pink Wednesday

Hi all! long time no chat! So I just read a little bit of my last post and I already know I have made improvements (in some categories at least). I am writing to you as I wear my mouth-guard! I called it pink Wednesday because of my pink little robe ;) So let me think..what has been going on? Foodwise..I have been definitely cheating alot. This week my hormones will be back to normal (if you know what I mean) so I will go back to my strict vegan ways! I have also been drinking a little bit. I had a few Birthday parties and  so I guess my social anxiety caused me to have a couple drinks to "loosen up." I know if I was juicing this wouldn't have happen. When I am completely hydrated I feel like I am on a natural high! Definitely want to start juicing again today.Going to yoga today. I love my yogi because he is this total raw foods guy who has a Blendtec and he talks about it during class. I swear I almost go more for hearing him talk than anything ...

Breakfast at 1

Today I was up a little early to go see my dentist about my grinding. Basically he told me what I already predicted "wear your mouth guard every day!" I know everyone says breakfast is the most important meal of the day etc. But I truly don't get hungry first thing in the morning. I honestly don't get hungry until around lunch time. I'm sure everyone will attack me saying its wrong but I am trying to get back in tuned with my body and what she wants. Don't get me wrong, some mornings I get up and I am starving but when I'm kinda busy I just don't get hungry until my stomach says hey woman! Feed me already! We bought a new fridge which I love! Our parents had their fridge since 1989! It was time for an upgrade! This new one has French doors and it's a GE. Love it because now there's more room for my veggies and fruits! With the old fridge, the veggies we hidden all the way at the bottom of the fridge, so when you open the fridge the first thing...

late night snack

So I made it through the day of breakfast lunch and dinner and no snacking in between. I went to nike training club which was really challenging. I think it's the most I've ever sweat at the gym my entire life! I still have some pain on the side of my face and I am trying to take it easy, hoping it will go away soon. After class I showered and passed out because I was so drained. I also have been kind of low on energy which is normal considering my mood this week. It's passed midnight and I should get up early tomorrow for an interview in the morning but the nap I took earlier is keeping me up. I made myself a protein shake with almond milk, banana and protein powder (in previous posts). I finished the bottle of protein powder and I will probably take a break from drinking the powder and also almond milk. Even though this drink is all natural I am exploring more basic foods that provide protein like bulgur and kale =) I miss watching my youtube informative videos on eating ...

Human juicers and blenders

So after weeks of juicing and blending here's a conclusion I came to. Instead of juicing, pretend your head is a juicer, stomach is a blender! Before eating anything just think "would I juice this?" "would I blend this?" chances are you aren't going to blend a cheeseburger but you are going to juice some celery, apples Kale etc. so think of your teeth as the blades of a juicer. I'm not saying be extreme and only do this all the time. Sometimes you have to turn the juicer off ;) I will still use my juicer and blender but I realized that God already gave me the best juicier and blender created. The human body :)

Eech for lunch

Olive oil onion green bell pepper tomato ..tomato paste...pepper paste..cook 10 minutes with half a cup of water and salt and lemon. Turn off then add one and half cup of bulgur..mix it along with one bunch of chopped parsley ..cover 10 without turning the stove back on and enjoy!!

I just finished disc 1 of 2 and I think everyone needs to watch this! amazing! btw I also got Episode 1 cause we always think I want the better one I need to have it but no it wasn't that great...this is awesome! finally met Abraham ;)

12-12

Hi there. I have a heat pack on my neck today because I am still suffering from this pain that is shooting up from my jaw to my ear and the scariest part, the top of my brow. Have been going through some things that are causing this pain. The good news is I am really trying to focus on myself and my job hunt. I didn't go to the Body Pump (weights) class last night because I was scared of injuring myself. I spent the day cleaning out my room, but I realized that in reality I wasn't throwing away much. I have a habit of holding on to things and people from the past. I've kept old cell phones, bills, invitations and birthday cards because I feel "bad" throwing them away. I can't wait to move out of my parents house once I get a new job so I can have a smaller space that will force me to get rid of some of my clutter. Last week I spoke to you about some goals that I had for the day. I didn't accomplish them on that particular day but within a week I did do all...

Good Morning loves! Today I woke up still hurting from my headaches. Last night I started having pain in my ear and it really scared me! I read online that this is a normal symptom of TMJ/Bruxism. I went to Nike Training club last night to sweat out the negativity. Class did feel good but at times I couldn't keep up because of my headache and ear ache. I was scared that something was going to go wrong or burst. I know that sounds bizarre but I had a friend that once "blew a fuse" from stress, she was older than me but let me tell you stress can do a number on our health. No one should have to live with this sort of pain especially when the pain is caused by others. Although I am suffering now, I truly believe that this pain is something that will cause a change in me. I have spent a huge portion of my energy on worrying, taking care of or pleasing others and at 33 I have finally realized that it's time to take care of my b...

Mad=Sad

Last night I had INNOUT and it was the best feeling on earth! Yes! like meat and fries and cholestoral and thousands of calories of heaven! I guess I am trying to find a balance of eating right and still enjoying some guilty pleasure. 90% of the time I don't smoke, drink alcohol or eat meat,dairy,bread,pastries or anything that comes in a box. I really took advantage of my 10% this weekend! I took a little break from logging my food because I just got bored of it. Today, I am back on track and will be using "Myfitnesspal" app. I also was suffering from extreme headaches cause by teeth clenching or grinding. Emotional eating or not eating is definitely a problem I have. I go through different stages of either completely losing my appetite and also eating to sooth myself. I like to experiment on myself to figure out more about my habits to see if I can break them. Shiny leftovers

Just had lunch..delicious homemade food! Taking pics of what I eat is such an easy way to log what I'm eating! The kale pear salad is an idea I had this morning..maybe I'll have it later tonight. I make sure to eat 2-3 hours before boot camp or else I feel like throwing up :/ time to hit the gym again! Oh and I called my leftovers shiny because my mom uses way too much olive oil!!

Goooooooooooal!

You know when you're watching soccer and they yell out goal? well that's not what I'm talking about. Yesterday I was chatting with a friend at the BBQ who told me he writes down his objectives every morning for that day. What a great way to practice setting goals!! I want to start doing this as well! I also chatted with a couple other girls who suggested trying out cross-fit and Golden Bridge yoga. As much as I love listening to people on  youtube and reading etc, learning things from having real conversation is the best good old fashioned way of learning, growing and getting new ideas. I also like to write down goals because Louise Hay teaches that the act of picking up a pen and writing down has a better outcome. I have been struggling with finding my purpose for a long time, so I sat in my room and picked up a notebook and wrote what my dream job would be. Brainstorming was a fun way of thinking that we were taught in High School but I forgot how powerful it could be! ...

Detox Done.

1500 Page views! yey thanks for reading =) So I made it through a holiday without drinking or cheating but I did have to end my detox =( Honestly I am kind of glad because I really missed food and was a little worried that it wasn't scientifically proven to be good for you. All the info tells you to start off slowly eating fruit etc, introducing foods back, but who are we kidding here? Once I started eating I was like bring it on what else is in the fridge? I guess I did an unintended water fast yesterday. I was so busy getting ready for the BBQ and spending time with my family all day that I didn't really have time to juice. I went to the BBQ and obviously they were serving chips, burgers and alcohol so I wasn't about to eat those things (and if I did I would prob have to run to the bathroom which had a long line of people waiting lol). My friends and I left the BBQ to get something to eat and ended up at Casa Vega (one of my favorite Mexican restaurants but also the cause...

Stars and Stripes

Happy 4th! Since I am a Sagittarius I love any holiday celebrating independence =) So today I have lost 2 lbs. Day 4 of detox. A little concerned about how I will spend a holiday without eating but I'll figure it out. found out about a really cool juice place in my neighborhood so excited to check it out. Not sure what's open today. I'm sipping on some lemon and water. Pretty excited to juice some breakfast =)

Grass and Sand

So lately I have noticed numerous charges on my debit card for parking. I love LA but this city is just taking too many of my dollars for parking! I decided that I will make more of an effort to park and walk, killing two birds with one stone. My first stop of the day, early morning walking by the smell of wet grass was such a nice way to start the day! I also parked down the street at dinner when I would normally would valet, it's not a huge difference but it adds up (saved about $7 today) and burns a few calories =) I used to pay way too much money to get my eyebrows waxed  but you live n learn. Now I just get them threaded for about $15 (brow n lip) plus tip! Threading is great if you have sensitive skin! After getting "beach ready" I hurried home to get something in my system, I had a bottle of water with some lemon. At the beach, I got 2 tall glasses of fresh OJ. I rushed out of the house so I didn't get a chance to juice today. (Nice to take a day off from wash...

Day n Night

1/2 cantalope didnt end up using the strawberries so just blue and black matching my nails with my juices ;) late lunch/dinner Apple,carrots, peppers, pear, peach It's midnight I'm kinda hungry but suprised at how easy this is for me..I went to Body Pump today and not sure if I will be able to handle working out all week on this ..still trying to figure out all the "rules" of the juice fast...Beach tomorrow =)

Wake me up with a twist

Very basic water with lemon and then a dandelion tea ..btw my scalp went back to the normal dryness..I only did the tea tree oil once wonder if I should do it again :/

Monday Monday

Good Morning! slept late again but need to re-shift my schedule back to 9-12. Kinda have a headache but I don't think it has anything to do with the juicing. I usually grind my teeth at night plus I didn't sleep enough.this is what I plan on drinking every morning first thing ...gonna try posting it with my blogger app have a perfect day! =)

Juicing Slow

Day 1 Juice fast. Done. Piece of cake! (just don't eat it!) ok so I did it I feel great, I am pretty excited about this! Definitely going to keep track of everything that I drink to make sure I am getting the right amounts of proteins,carbs etc. So here we go... I drink a bottle of water before each juice I will buy FIGI  water ASAP ...need to drink lots of water during this! using a straw helps me drink stuff including water ... along with the apple and mango (which I realized barely has any  juice) few cherries, 2 figs and a huge grapefruit=Breakfast downed some water then more juice, celery,entire romaine lettuce (didn't end up using the kale) cucumber ,baby zucchini (they were on the verge of going bad) cilantro and colorful peppers  beautiful juice oh btw I am drinking 80 oz a day  total, I had some ginger tea  when I went to reiki and then some water on the way home  late night dinner OMG its like ...

hello July 1st! time to clean up this act! been slippin too many times lately need to get a little extreme! Really considereing starting the juice fast! also trying reiki tonight! pretty excited! let you know how it goes!

Peaches sans cream

Morning hike at the observatory  Hey peeps! so yesterday got an early start hiking with a friend then having a nice fruit breakfast at a cute little place in Los Feliz. We discovered a new market where I got some prewashed kale: when I got home I was pretty hungry so I had the kale with some lemon juice, I also had some homemade hummus and some more fruit...I couldn't find a kale that was suitable (too hard or didn't taste right) to put in salads for a while so I found that these prewashed packaged ones do the job.  I felt kinda feverish later in the afternoon cause I was up late last night again addicted to youtube!  =( The food Friday upset my stomach and also sitting under AC after sweating in a gym class is a bad idea (not sure if the AC thing is a myth but not a fan of AC in general) Later in the day I was craving something warm and comforting so I made some oatmeal.
