Breakfast Diary

A couple posts ago I mentioned that I have had acid reflux attacks thanks to the nasty habits of skipping meals, drinking, smoking and eating bad foods!
Well I have some good news =) The acid reflux is almost completely gone like 90% gone! So I have sworn off cigarettes, I am making sure I hit the gym every day no matter what "no Excuses!" and I went to whole foods and stocked up on healthy foods to get back on track. The main thing that I learned through this process of going from regular american diet (well more like armenian/american) to vegetarian then to vegan then to raw and finally to fruitarian...is that it is a process...you can't just jump from eating hamburgers to being a vegan or going raw. You have to go step by step and now that I have been a bad girl eating the old way I need to go back to step #1 which is ok because this is part of the learning process. So I did still have a little bit of meat this week but it makes my stomach so bloated and big yuck! but it's an indulgence and it's fine. I will come back stronger =) So lets start with breakfast. One of the main reasons that I had acid reflux was because I was completely skipping breakfast. I went from having egg whites to having juices or fruits specifically bananas but then I started just not eating breakfast at all! This was a huge mistake! the acid just took over my stomach it was really painfull. Now I am searching for good breakfast ideas. I want to get back on eggwhites for a while (even though I am kind of sick of them) I ate them every day for like 2 month straight without salt. I have to say I was extremely lean but I am egged out lol. I will try this week. Another thing I want to get back to is oatmeal. My yoga instructor suggested I eat it raw with water in a blender. He called it rocket fuel. I will give it a whirl. Brenda of Lean secrets posted a video about yogurt for breakfast which I will talk about below...




sometimes I would eat falafel thinking oh it's healthy its vegan ahhhh never again ok maybe sometimes but its fried anyways and that makes me feel gross after...I will come up with a lighter way of making it soon =)

ok so here is my breakfast today Brenda says the 3 rules of breakfast are
1-protein
2-fruits and or vegetables
3-something raw

so I put one cup of fage greek yogurt
1 apple diced (which was alot maybe just half next time)
gogi powder
pecans  just like 4 or 5 they are fattening
cranberries (cause its Thanksgiving season kinda sorta lol)
Hemp seeds
and last but not least my favorite ingredient Cinnamon!
I didnt even need to add honey bc it was sweet from the apples oh btw they were honeycrisp apples you havent had apples til you have tried these amazeballs!

good night and dont forget to eat a healthy breakfast...chances are if you start out right you will make better choices throughout the day
