Pre Halloween party

ok so it's not really a party but lets just pretend! so here is what we are celebrating....healthy eating! hmm why do I picture you booing and throwing tomatoes at the screen?? lol I hear ya I love eating yummy food as much as the next gal but lately I am discovering ways to eat healthy but still be satisfied..which brings me to my next blog PUMPKIN PIE!!!!!!!!!!!! ahhh I was at whole foods the other day and I could not resist buying some organic pumpkin just to see what I could come up with. I am searching the web for a healthy pumpkin recipe. Promise to keep you posted oh and btw it's pretty funny what people out there in cyberworld consider "healthy" sugar is not healthy people!!!!!!!!!! anyways back to the present day, so I saw this pic on fb this morning on Louis Hay's page and it really made me eat healthy all day long! if you don't know who Louis Hay is yet hello!!!! she is amazing ..her CDs have really change my outlook on life! so here is the post...





YOUR FUTURE IS BEING WRITTEN WITH EVERY MEAL!

now that is a pretty powerful sentence no? So basically what I get from this sentence is ..everything you put in your body is pretty much what you want out of your future. which is why I got rid of my pack of cigarettes. So every time I wanted to eat something I stopped and thought of how it would effect my body. so here is what I ate so far. 

Breakfast: Toasted to pieces of brown rice bread, smashed up an ugly looking black banana (my mom must be happy I got rid of it)  with about a couple teaspoons of Justins peanut butter and a tiny bit of raw honey..sprinkled some cinnamon on there and wow! delicious!!!! a glass of almond milk to wash it down :P

Lunch: lentil soup which was filling and delicious! I had like two teaspoons of hummus, fatoush (a salad with pita bread..i didn't have the pita) I also ate a couple olives and a couple pieces of pickled turnips. plus a glass of water

went to a spin class ..I am on a mission to do spin the entire time my group ex class is being remodeled but my bottom hates me =( 

after my awesome workout came home and remembered what my bootcamp instructor repeats every time "EAT /DRINK PROTEIN" most of the time I don't have protein but now I am prepared thanks to my shopping trip =) I am back on my hemp protein powder routine. so I blended up the hemp with 8 oz of almond milk and a banana (hmm sounds a little bit like breakfast) ok so I will make sure I eat something that doesn't include almond milk or bananas tomorrow morning. I also have been drinking alot of I mean like maybe two of those little bottles of coconut water every day yikes. I bought it at costco and I think I overdid it. My stomach has been really funky lately so I am trying to work on that. So I am taking a break for sure from coconut water and I really want to start juicing again. I got really lazy about it or maybe just burned out. I also had a peach after my shake bc it looked so yummy and when I get home from the gym I  kinda feel like I am in beast mode as in my appetite. After my shower I had a bowl of pomegranate that my mom was kind enough to clean and put in the fridge. I washed plates from my families yummy dinner which I refuse to eat bc  MY .........

 FUTURE IS BEING WRITTEN WITH EVERY MEAL! right?


anyways so now it's about 10:30 and I admit I am a bit hungry. today was not a balanced meal day for me I admit but ..I did avoid alcohol, cigarettes, junk food (there are so many pastries at our house we can open a bakery ...my dad had surgery and everyone brought pastries...lets give a recovering man artery clogging pastries smart right?) anyways so I am very proud of my dad just trying to think of something light that I can snack on before bed. need to go explore some pumpkin recipes too! ciao!
