Picture stories
A great way of reminding myself to tell you about things is by taking pictures. Such a cool quick way of capturing moments! so here's a few great ones this week!
We all know transitioning from holiday eating or lets be real, "pigging out" is not easy. You can't go from raiding the dessert table to eating a celery stick right? So here is an amazing way to transition without the guilt. I had some red apples sitting around looking not soo hot and of course I hate to throw out or waste any fruits or vegetables so here is what I came up with. I saw a video on Brenda's lean secrets fb page which inspired me to make this!
1-peel and apple and then take out the seeds with a scooper (there's gotta be something in your kitchen that you can use but if not just use a spoon)
2-preheat over to 365
3-chopp up 2 dates per apple (listen, I know they are yummy but dates are full of sugar so take it easy ok?)
4-you can use any kind of nut or fruit or anything you want, I chose to use almond butter
5-stuff this little mixture into your apple
6-add cinnamon and here is the most important secret step in my eyes..a dash of salt! omg makes it go to the next level!
7-you are probably supposed to wait like 30 minutes but it smelled so good that I couldn't wait..I took it our probably after like 15 minutes or so and ooooh was I in heaven! It's pretty rich so I shared with my parents and they agreed it was yummy! ENjoy!!!!!
ok so this weekend I had a huge slice of cake, chocolate cake from COSTCO wow it was really yummy but so much sugar!!!!!!!!!! ok so yes while eating it I was loving it but afterwards I felt really gross =( the good thing about the dessert above is you don't feel sick after! also it's full of nutritious ingredients.
We had such a beautiful day yesterday that I decided to head out to Runyon and it was awesome! I called up a friend and did the stairs. this morning I feel it in my calves! Felt great to be outside and good thing I went because it's raining today and who knows when the next beautiful sunny day will be! The good thing a bout missing the gym is you always have the other option of going outside! Do it! you might not get as intense of a workout but you will definitely recharge your spiritual batteries just being in nature.
I love to go alone but its nice to call a friend to recap the week you have had and talk about goals for each other and maybe give some friendly advice =)
This is a cool house my friend showed me. I took a pic because it symbolized the perfect life for me, the American dream. the two cars in the driveway symbolized a man and a woman, probably married with a child or two. The wreath symbolized celebration. the great thing about this house is that it is simple and "plain" but it has a read door and once you get in that door it can be an amazing place full of the most beautiful things! To me this door symbolizes eyes. We all look pretty much the same but the look in your eye is the only place you can't hide your uniqueness, your soul and whats inside. What's inside can be pain, it can be love it can be anything but when you talk to someone and look in their eyes its like peeking inside for a moment. What's in your red door?
