Splish Splash

Things almost never go as planned...instead of grocery shopping for my new "lifestyle" I'm going to Beverly Hills for some window shopping with mom. Emphasis on window since I'm not working =( Time for a quick "bird bath" (showering without washing your hair). I love showering in the morning because it's like a fresh start or a new beginning, like Mondays or the first of the month or the New Year. I decided to share with you some of my favorite products..WOW! we use almost a 100 products just to get ready in the morning! Crazy!
I used to think exfoliating is something you do once a week (or when you actually remember) but apparently it should be done almost every other day ...ever since I began to exfoliate more, my skin has looked much better...quitting smoking/ drinking and eating nutritious foods extremely makes a difference as well. This is a scrub I use in the shower that I've been buying since high school..it's an OG product that you can buy at a drugstore like CVS, one of my favorite places to shop!

Even though I'm not washing my hair today, I wanted to show you the shampoo and conditioner I normally use. I bought this at Costco. I am pretty happy with this product but not crazy about it. It does the job, smells ok and it's sulfate free.

Dove is an oldie but goody
Exfoliating your body is also extremely important and I do this daily. I'm still trying to find a body wash that I love...on my CVS explore list ..
Ever since I started doing the Brazilian Blowout and other types of straightening treatments, I have been advised to use sulfate free products. I tried out a few and this was one of my favorites, actually any of the ones in this line, but this one specifically because it makes your scalp tingle...after these harsh treatments, my scalp has become very dry, itchy and sensitive so this product soothes it for me (along with using olive oil for really bad dry scalp days)
I use this sometimes as a scrub for allover especially for my elbows...it's pretty gentle which is great for sensitive skin...all Kiehl's products are extremely gentle.

this is a disposable razor that I probably chose because its pink ;)

but I normally just buy refill cartridges of this Venus one from Costco...

A great trick I learned for my "bird bath's" is to wrap my hair with a towel...I don't know about you but those shower caps don't cover my entire hair and also leave a terrible line on my forehead =/ I love these wraps  and you can get one at Bed Bath and Beyond. Behind it is my Tommy Hilfiger towel wrap which I wear while blow-drying my hair, I'm pretty sure I got it at Marshall's. Finally my VS robe that I love..
