Eat your daily cup of beans

The Middle Eastern diet is already pretty vegetarian and healthy...one of the ingredients for my new "lifestyle" is Raw Tahini..apparently there is roasted Tahini and Raw but since this product doesn't clarify and I have a huge jar of it in my pantry , I'm just going to take a chance.
mom just got back from the local Armenian store "Arax" with some goodies. She is making white beans for dinner tonight which is awesome because I have to eat at least one cup of beans a day.
she also brought back some camomille tea which I can put on my eye for the mysterious swelling...

we finally made it to Saks and I am loving these two Stella or Chloe purses...on Sale but still too expensive =( in chocolate and Rose gold! GORG!!!!!!!!!

I also spot this beautiful bag at Neiman's at the sale table...Lime green is really hot right now..which is funny because few years back when my mom had a lime green purse I used to hate it...anytime Kim K wears something (her Lime green Hermes Birkin) it's instantly fab right?
My mom who never wants to eat (which makes me think I am adopted) got hungry so we ate at the Neiman's cafe...I ordered a salad with no dressing and asked for balsamic vinegar and lemon instead. This has the correct amount of avocado (about 2 oz permitted per day) the mushrooms are highly recommended as well..along with some tea (without sugar) I am surprisingly full ...just realized I pounded a bottle of water while going up the escalators...I guess it does really fill you up before lunch...

Mom showed me how to make the white bean and carrots soup...very easy in the pressure cooker....
soak about a regular coffee mug size of white beans in hot water for a couple hours, rinse and put in the pressure cooker until you hear "fshh" (LMFAO mom's explanation) until you see the red line on the cooker. Turn it off and wait about an hour and drain again. Add a teeny bit of olive oil just enough to saute a chopped onion until it becomes clear. Add the beans and 2 cups (mugs) of water, a couple of peeled and chopped carrots, a tbsp of tomato paste (preferably without added oil or salt) and a tbsp of red pepper paste.Throw in one small bunch of parsley. After "fshh" turn off and wait for 30 minutes. we like to add lemon when serving for a little more flavor.....Voila! dinner is ready...

after dinner we went to Trader Joe's to get some groceries so I can really start this diet I mean lifestyle manyana.

a couple greens and steel cut oats...few of the items on my list....BTW always go grocery shopping on a Tuesday...Sunday and Monday seems like everything is old and yucky...especially the produce. I finally understood the difference between oatmeal and old fashioned oats etc..this is the best one to buy STEEL CUT...most nutritious,not processed and this is a cheap brand...can't wait for breakast! I'm already hungry but its time for bed...Goodnight..............
