Skin Routine

Skincare is like going to the gym, the more you do it the better your results...
when I want a deeper scrub I use this and I try to spend at least 2 minutes massage this into my face...How cute is this as a baby shower gift! Hey, if it's gentle enough for babies it's gentle enough for me =)


 sometimes i mix it with this cleanser or Cetaphil so it's not as harsh...skin is so soft after this
 
 I got these at CVS in tons of fun colors..use it to get your hair out of your face while washing your hair
                                                     I like to use a fresh towel every day ...
                                                    My mom and I have been using this for years
                                          I like this toner because its gentle and doesn't dry out my skin


                                     I bought the cotton pads and cleansing strips at the 99 cent store!
 This is my splurge product...I love any product which includes Vitamin C because of the brightening effect...I use this every morning before my moisturizer and sunscreen .
 Eye cream is the first anti-aging product I ever used....I like this one because it works well with my sensitive eye area...
 I read about this on another blog ...glycolic is great but make sure you protect yourself under the sun!
 I love the "fresh apricot" scent on this aluminum free deodorant...on really hot days I sometimes use good old Secret Powder fresh but I prefer using this regularly ...
                                       I use # 3 for summer (smells like grapefruits) and #10 for a stronger winter scent
I love all Laura Mercier products..this thick moisturizer smells like dessert! I also like mixing this with her Vanilla scent perfume...

Got to the Finish Line

I am finally done with my spring cleaning! What an empowering feeling this has been! So my last 3 categories were clothes, jewelry and pictures. Clothes surprisingly did not take me that long. I promised myself I will do this once every 6 months. I still am getting rid of stuff that I even kept. Let's say I'm going out for a night out and I try on some shoes and they just don't fit right anymore, or look outdated...out they go. It feels so good to only have things I love and getting ready is so simple. As far as jewelry, it took me an entire day but well worth it. I found some beautiful pieces I had completely forgotten about. The pictures also took an entire day. I sorted them by year and just filed them and put the folders away in a cute box I had. I got rid of duplicates and many other pics like scenery or something that I really didn't care for. The F word

Like most women today I let my work take over my life and didn't bother finding my soul mate until I was near my 40s.  Sounds good right? Um not really, men suck these days so I got super lucky is the real deal. We both knew when we met that our goal was to have a baby ASAP, after marriage. It was like a fairy tale well sort of in my fairy tale the princess went to therapy. I quickly got pregnant within a couple months which was great. Cut to my daughter turning almost four and us trying to get pregnant again. I realize this is a hush-hush topic for many but why? It's not easy and it's a crappy feeling finding out all the time that you are again "not pregnant". I love doing research maybe it's the sociologist in me but I learned so much about my own body and ovulation etc. Our bodies are seriously the most fascinating little machines and there is so much going on.
