First Friday of Summer =)

Hi friends! so sleepy! so today I didn't work out again (I've been bad!) I have been kinda hard on myself even though I enjoy working out, I can take a break from it occasionally. Instead I spent the day with my friends, we had lunch at CPK.I ordered the split pea barley soup (cup) and the bbq chicken salad no chicken no dressing and they forgot to omit the cheese. It was pretty exciting eating a few pieces of cheese haha. oh and no tortilla strips. After lunch I had a cup of coffee at coffee bean with only cinnamon for flavoring. I normally have tea but I was getting really sleepy. I later went to Whole foods and picked up some delicious salads! I was starving at this point so I had a green smoothie which held me over for a bit until I drove to the dinner party. My sister in law had friends over and the salads were a hit! The first one was kale with strawberries which was amazing! Also, broccoli with tahini and finally quinoa. Wow I was so impressed with these salads! Delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will definitely try to make these at home! After dinner I had some grapes and strawberries. One of the girls had made homemade red velvet cupcakes!!!!!!! Soooooooooo tempting!!!!!!!!!!! I kept eating my grapes and actually resisted! I did come home and eat the last tiny peice of the cake my friends mom made, but I know that it was completely from scratch so not as bad?? I didn't have wine either and luckily no one was smoking. Overall for a Friday night, I think I was pretty on track. I have been craving a hamburger though =( I hate to admit it but one of these days I may cheat and have one. I am hoping the craving will go away!!!!!! But I am not going to give it to much importance, if I cheat I cheat and I just get back on track Monday right? For now I will just do my best to stay focused.

Got to the Finish Line

I am finally done with my spring cleaning! What an empowering feeling this has been! So my last 3 categories were clothes, jewelry and pictures. Clothes surprisingly did not take me that long. I promised myself I will do this once every 6 months. I still am getting rid of stuff that I even kept. Let's say I'm going out for a night out and I try on some shoes and they just don't fit right anymore, or look outdated...out they go. It feels so good to only have things I love and getting ready is so simple. As far as jewelry, it took me an entire day but well worth it. I found some beautiful pieces I had completely forgotten about. The pictures also took an entire day. I sorted them by year and just filed them and put the folders away in a cute box I had. I got rid of duplicates and many other pics like scenery or something that I really didn't care for. The F word

Like most women today I let my work take over my life and didn't bother finding my soul mate until I was near my 40s.  Sounds good right? Um not really, men suck these days so I got super lucky is the real deal. We both knew when we met that our goal was to have a baby ASAP, after marriage. It was like a fairy tale well sort of in my fairy tale the princess went to therapy. I quickly got pregnant within a couple months which was great. Cut to my daughter turning almost four and us trying to get pregnant again. I realize this is a hush-hush topic for many but why? It's not easy and it's a crappy feeling finding out all the time that you are again "not pregnant". I love doing research maybe it's the sociologist in me but I learned so much about my own body and ovulation etc. Our bodies are seriously the most fascinating little machines and there is so much going on.
